Patty Alder heads the North Carolina School IPM Program. She is also the Assistant Director of the NCSU Structural Pest Management Training Facility and coordinates all urban structural pest training programs for pest management professionals, county field faculty, municipal employees, and other groups. Specific training programs include Pesticide applicator certification training in structural pest control for pest management professionals and non-commercial applicators in the Household Pests (P) and Wood Destroying Pests (W) categories as well as support Cooperative Extension Service programs including ServSafe® and Healthy Homes®.
Patty is also a member of the North Carolina Agromedicine Faculty and teaches ENT132 – Urban Pest Management in the NCSU Agricultural Institute Program.
